About the Event
Every Thursday between September and November 2026, we gather for Heat Talks: informal conversations about heat, climate futures, and the many ways people sense, endure, imagine, govern, and respond to a warming world.
Heat is more than temperature. It is lived through bodies, homes, cities, workplaces, infrastructures, landscapes, memories, inequalities, and hopes for the future. Across twelve sessions, we will explore heat as a physical condition, a social experience, a political problem, and an imaginative opening onto possible futures.
Each Heat Talk will focus on a specific theme, bringing together researchers and interested publics for open discussion. The sessions are meant to be accessible and conversational rather than formal lectures. Participants are invited to think with heat from different perspectives: climate change, urban life, health, labour, inequality, care, technology, ecology, and everyday practices of adaptation.
